About Role & Team: We are a face paced Startup with a user base growing 20% month on month. We love innovation, we love ownership, and we love seeing our Product grow. We are looking for someone to join our Web development team in this exciting time and help lead it into the future. The role is a hands on technical developer role, with responsibilities to support the other web engineers in the day to day agile development lifecycle. We are looking for someone who is up for a challenge, enjoys thinking outside the box and isn't afraid to own an idea and run with it.
Technical: We are looking for an experienced Full Stack web developer, specifically within the Python Django framework, and has worked within a fast paced, agile environment. The following skills sets would be favoured.
- Django Web Framework
- Python 2 & 3
- Postgres
- SQL
- Container Technology (Docker)
- Frontend Development (Angular/Bootstrap)
- Web Concurrency & Scaling
- Project Cohesion vs Coupling
- Following and maintaining secure and scalable coding standards
- JIRA Task Management
- Continues Delivery
Team Lead Responsibilities:
- Progressing the sprint and keeping our task management up to date (tickets)
- Make sure features are delivered via ‘daily check ins’
- Bugs are fixed when we need them via ‘daily check ins’
- Communicating with QA regarding issues and tests
- Communicating between developers instructions and explaining changes
- Checking on progression of sprint items
- Technical questions
- Managing Releases
- Managing branches
- Single point communication (through me currently)
