Calibrater Health is hiring a front-end software developer to help us build and maintain our web application. This is a full-time remote position with a company that values a good work / life balance and provides excellent opportunities for career growth.
Although it is a remote position we are only considering candidates who live in the US.
About the Role
You will work as part of a small team to design, implement and ship real features that get used daily by our happy paying customers. While the majority of the work is new feature development, there are also a few legacy obligations. Some of the work will involve maintaining, upgrading or refactoring old parts of the system.
Our application is written in Python, Django and PostgreSQL - and the frontend is a combination of Django templates, Bootstrap and jQuery. We’re looking for someone who can take ownership of this and improve our front-end technologies and overall user experience.
About You
We value diverse teams built from different backgrounds, experiences and identities. As a front-end developer you should have a good design aesthetic, a solid understanding of UI/UX principles and strong HTML, CSS and JavaScript skills.
Framework experience isn’t that important - in fact, we’d prefer it if you were comfortable writing modern ES6 without all the baggage a framework brings - our stack is intentionally small and lean so we can move quickly!
Most importantly, you will also need to be pragmatic - we consider delivering functional software to the customer the ultimate factor that measures progress.
