Summary
The Training Program Administrator is responsible for ensuring that strategic and tactical program elements are executed effectively through our learning management system (LMS), that training events are well-coordinated, scheduled and events logistics are flawless, and that certification program participants and channel team members have the inputs and metrics they need for partners to achieve the right level of expertise to drive their business.
In this role, you will work closely with our indirect channel managers as well as sales leaders to ensure that their teams are in the system and that appropriate courseware is assigned and available. You will define and document standard operating procedures for LMS administration and usage. In addition, you will define and share reports and information to help the sales ecosystem effectively manage the training and certification requirements for their teams. You also have a knack for the planning and management of training event logistics with a keen eye towards creating a fun and engaging environment.
Responsibilities
  • Define and document around LMS usage, content administration and user administration
  • Provide day-to-day system administration and manage learning content and content maintenance schedule
  • Provide first line technical and user support related to the LMS for both internal and external users
  • Evaluate and make decisions or recommendations on global system settings, configure settings and options; plan and executes unit, integration and acceptance testing to meet business requirements
  • Partner with LMS vendor when problems or questions arise to support users, troubleshoot problems and resolve escalated cases
  • Generate and interpret system reports to track sales team and partner learner activity and progress towards certification and badge levels
  • Collaborate with and advise key stakeholders on learner progress towards certification and provide assistance as needed to ensure successful completion of required courseware
  • Schedule and work with cross-functional team to plan and administer sales training programs across the global Sierra Wireless sales ecosystem
  • Coordinate materials, resources, and logistics and new-hire kits for training efforts and events
  • Work with various venues, shipping and catering companies to create an exceptional environment for learning events
Required Education, Experience & Competencies
  • 3-5 years of experience with a proven track record in a similar position, as LMS administrator and training event coordinator
  • Experience with learning technology such as virtual classrooms, learning management systems and virtual delivery modalities
  • Proven track record handling materials and equipment for and managing the logistics around learning or other events
  • Deep understanding of the processes and considerations around LMS management and administration for a global organization
  • Excellent writing and editing skills; strong communication skills with experience in creating basic instructional materials
  • Demonstrated track record working as a team player who is decisive, flexible, straightforward, honest and sincere
  • Aptitude for working in highly collaborative team environments, engaging with multiple personality types in many parts of the world
  • Ability to thrive and be self-actualized in a fast-paced dynamic work environment
